Paulus Fugers (NL) is in curatorial management. He is responsible for organising and providing accommodation, fully equipped studio in Berlin, crew and schedule the work of the international artists in cooperation with the curatorial team of 40,074KM EHF. He is representative for Art House SomoS, the co-partner from Germany.
Fugers has provided through their companies and galleries facilities for art, curated dozens of art exhibitions and events with international artists for the Art House Somos, Kunstraum Richard Sorge and Playground Berlin for the past 3 years. Active as artist since 1981, as curator since 1999. Founder/director Kunstraum Richard Sorge and SomoS Art House, Berlin. Applying a project-based, conceptual way of working, as an artist he make use of techniques like painting, collage, installation, ceramics and projection. His art can is in the collections of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Schwules Museum Berlin and many private collections around the world. The work is represented by the Antebellum Gallery, LA, Brutto Gusto Gallery Berlin, New Museum Store (NYC), and Gallery Mooiman in Groningen (NL). Since 1999 he has been active as curator, working on projects like Apotheke Mitte, the “Strich und Faden” Craftism exhibition series, the La Crèche exhibition. Subsequently, from 2008-2011 he worked on a program of ambitious international exhibitions in his project space “Kunstraum Richard Sorge” in a historic former brewery in Berlin Friedrichshain, presenting artists like Charles Craft, Nava Lubelski, Jn.Ulrick Desért, Hiroki Otsuka and Mumbleboy. Since 2013 He organize exhibitions at Kunsthaus SomoS, which he founded.
